NC Landlord’s Risk…Reduced?
Along with decision making, inevitably comes risk and uncertainty.
In deciding whether to rent out your property or not, you have to decide whether you are willing to take a few chances.
Will your house be damaged by the tenants?
Will someone want to rent your property for the amount you feel the property is worth?
Most importantly, what if you simply get bad tenants – bad tenants who do not pay?
One of the gambles of being a landlord is the possibility you may get a tenant who fails to pay rent. Of course, you can do credit checks to make sure you are renting to reliable tenants. But plainly, sometimes a bad renter slips through the cracks.
Landlord homes are now a little bit safer bet
Bottom line, you need your money. And, you needed it yesterday.
Good News: Governor Pat McCrory signed NC House Bill 802 that will go into effect September 1, 2013, that will shorten the eviction process for a tenant who does not pay.
What does this mean for you?
1. Less time until you get your money.
2. Less time to get your property back into your rightful hands.
3. Less time for a judge to make a decision.
NC House Bill 802 is a bill that simply makes sense.
